Karen Jordan is a junior from Ocracoke Island, NC. She is pursuing an Environmental Sustainability major, a Philosophy, Politics, & Economics minor, and a Food Studies minor. This fall, she is working with the Ackerman Center to catalog, map, and interview sustainable businesses within North Carolina. Her work will facilitate the identification and evaluation of companies for the annual UNC Sustainability Awards and give insight into how we can support sustainability initiatives for companies. Outside of academics, Karen is a varsity coxswain on the UNC Men’s Rowing Team, a member of the Women’s Network, and enjoys playing the piano.
