On October 28, 2022, the KFBS MBA Net Impact held its annual Careers with Impact Forum (CWIF). The event offered MBA and undergraduate business students the opportunity to learn from incredible business leaders about the skills and perspectives needed to launch an impact-driven career in business.

ACES is proud to support the 2022 Careers with Impact Forum—Making your Mark! The event is open to the public and will highlight business innovators who have advocated for sustainable change and made an impact within their organization.  It will be held at UNC Kenan-Flagler in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Friday, October 28 from 9:30 AM -3:30 PM

We are beyond excited for the return to in-person events this academic year. Review our schedule of events and save the dates for those that you would like to attend, perhaps as speaker or judge to lend your expertise in sustainability to our current students.

In May a group of 23 lucky MBA students travelled to Iceland with Professor Olga Hawn for the Global Immersion Elective course focused on Sustainability.

There was a lot to celebrate at the 2022 UNC Sustainability Awards and Graduation event.

The UNC Clean Tech Summit was back in-person in 2022 with over 810 total registrants, half of those students from UNC Chapel Hill and our sister Triangle Universities.

As a global population, if we want to succeed in tackling climate change, we need to invest in medium- and low-income (emerging and developing) economies in an impactful and meaningful way. The Center for Sustainable Enterprise (CSE) pulled together experts working in these markets around the world to share why this is so important and to discuss the challenges and opportunities for investment.

On October 29, Kenan Flagler’s Net Impact Club hosted its annual Careers with Impact Forum. Themed, “A New Way of Doing Business,” the in-person event welcomed MBA, undergraduate students and alumni to learn about ways to integrate sustainability and impact into any business career.

Get inspired while helping to develop the next generation of leaders in impact investing and blended finance by becoming a judge for Launching Investment for Future Transformation (LIFT) sponsored by Bank of America. The charge is for student teams to devise plausible blended finance strategies for sustainability initiatives that will drive social equity and economic mobility.
We will need your help to evaluate these student proposals. You can help determine which strategies are the most innovative and which will earn a portion of $15,000 USD in prizes

Earth Day was highlighted by the Center for Sustainable Enterprise’s UNC Sustainability Awards, sponsored by Bank of America and Trane Technologies. This year’s virtual event included a mix-along with Scott Maitland of Top of the Hill Brewery and Distillery and a dinner cook-along with Jacob Boehm of Snap Pea after the ceremony.
