We are happy to announce the winners of the 2024 LIFT( Investment for Future Transformation) Challenge! This year, team Sustainable Impact from Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, University of Virginia Darden School of Business and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business placed first in the LIFT challenge sponsored by Bank of America. Their proposal focused on using blended finance to create a compressed biogas facility in India.
This year’s competition, once again, highlighted some of the best and brightest in sustainability using blended finance to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The second-place team was EcoEmpower, which included students from University of Southern California and The University of Texas at Austin. Their proposal focused on using micro-loans to finance Super Low Energy Buildings (SLEBs) in India. This competition continues to connect and engage our next generation of passionate sustainability leaders around the world. Our quarterfinals included students from University of Virginia, University of California, Berkeley, Seoul National University, Cornell University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Brown University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Cincinnati and University of Sydney!

Congratulations to ALL 200+ student participants throughout the fall and winter. We had many more inspiring proposals than we could invite to the quarterfinals. But you all are extraordinary!
