Congratulations 2020 Sustainable Enterprise Concentrators

To honor the achievements of the 2020 MBA students graduating with a concentration in Sustainable Enterprise, CSE held a virtual celebration where we took time to acknowledge the hard work of the students and welcome them into the Kenan-Flagler alumni family. Thirty-five students from the MBA class of 2020 received the Sustainable Enterprise concentration, signifying that they had completed at least 7.5 hours of sustainability-focused electives.

Our celebration included words of welcome and appreciation from Dr. Olga Hawn, CSE Faculty Director, and Jeff Mittelstadt, CSE Executive Director. Lisa Shpritz, MBA’05, Senior Vice President and Environmental Operations Executive at Bank of America, shared her advice for fellow-concentrators on how to bring a sustainability lens to future roles—especially those without sustainability in the title.

The highlight of the celebration was the Net Impact Award for 2020 presented to Matt Srygler for his dedication and leadership in sustainability and his always-positive attitude. The evening concluded with a toast from Dean Doug Shackleford who thanked the students and noted Kenan-Flagler’s leadership in the Center’s 20 years of work in making a positive social and environmental impact through its Sustainable Enterprise graduates.
