During the Sustainability Awards we celebrated of the 48 MBA students graduating with the Sustainable Enterprise Concentration. Dr. Olga Hawn, CSE Faculty Director toasted their resiliency, creativity, compassion, and perseverance and told them they are true champions. Champions of their lives and of COVID.
The Net Impact Award was given by current Net Impact President, Eliza Quanback. The Net Impact Award recognizes a an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to sustainability at Kenan-Flagler Business School. This year’s winner is Anthony Minor, the outgoing President of the Energy Club. Anthony was recognized for ‘lifting everyone else up”. He created a speaker series on the Energy Transition and developed internship opportunities for first year students in the climate impact space. His leadership and tireless energy was noted by many. He was also a part of the winning team of the UCLA Challenges in Energy Case Competition in 2021.
The inaugural Susanna Schick award was presented to Crystal Collins by outgoing Net Impact President Sarah Crockett. The Susanna Schick award is given to a current Kenan-Flagler MBA student demonstrating the values that Susanna Schick (MBA ’09) exemplified. These values are universally recognized as vital to the success of sustainable enterprises: environmentalism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Crystal is concentrating in consulting and sustainable enterprise and serves in many leadership roles aligned with impact. She is the MBA Student Association VP of Community Service, Consortium VP of Service, a Turner MBA Impact Investing Training and Networking Program Team Lead and the VP of Careers for 2021.
